POOR EXCUSE FOR POOR SERVICE
My daughter was born on 17 February 2015 @ Parklands Hospital, when we were taken 2 the delivery room,we were asked 2 sign & complete some questions regarding the delivery.i.e: The handling of the Placenta,we very clearly stated that we will take it home with us.Which was marked on the form & made clear 2 the sister. On the third day of the stay @ hospital,I had enquired abt it & was told that I need 2 get an affidavit completed @ the police station & bring back 2 the hospital,so they can hand over 2 me on the discharge day.Which I duly completed & handed over on 20 February. After a while I get called by the exact same person who asked us 2 complete the form in theatre,2 tell me that it has been disposed off!! So how long did they take 2 realise that it had been disposed off?? Wouldn't they have checked this on the completion of delivery the same day when they have 2 dispose or store this placenta.Even on the 3rd day when they gave me the affidavit 2 complete, they did not realise it then ?? Also you can check, there was a couple that were in the same ward as my wife,110B who had the exact problem & given the same treatment.A sorry just does not excuse pathetic disregard for our wishes
