Pharmaceutical Nightmare

I had a follow-up appointment with Paediatrician Dr DAS Pillay who issued a prescription that we had to get from the pharmacy. After being advised that the medication can only be supp**** by St Augustine's dispensary I went there immediately as they were going to close at 12:30 pm and the time was 12:15. I aarived and gave one of the ladies my script who told me there was not enough ingredients and that I should get it at any other pharmacy. I told her that the lady in the doctor's rooms advised me that I cannot get the medication anywhere else but there and she assured me that it was not the case so I went to Clicks Pharmacy in Westwood Mall. When I got there I was told that I cannot get it anywhere else but at the hospital. I immediatelt called the receptionist at the doctors rooms to let her know what had happened and she advised that she would report the matter and someone would call me back on Monday. Today is Tuesday the 17th and nobody called me yesterday regarding this matter. So i call the doctors rooms again to be told that someone did call me but I didn't answer my phone which is not true because nobody called me and I caught them out in that lie when someone at the pharmacy asked why didn't i leave my number for someone to call me back. After informing her of what had transpired to date it was now a case of pointing fingers at the doctors receptionists and her pointing fingers at the pharmacists. Had I not taken the nous upon myself and call back, nobody would've called me to give me an update regarding the medication and after a not so pleasant conversation with Celestine I had to hang up the call abruptly because I was getting no joy as she was telling me the procedures of what everyone should've done but not telling the way forward regarding the medication.

I am disappointed at the lack of service and will not use the hospital for anything in the near future including doctors on the premises because all medication comes from their pharmacy and what good will that do me if the people at the pharmacy aren't clued up about the protocol of their jobs.
