Pathetic Service. Negligent Staff/ Nurses.

My dad was admitted to hospital on Friday afternoon around 3pm- they sent him for an MRI and CT scan without admitting him, then AFTER the scans (which we had to pay from our pocket R18 000) they admitted him.

He was sent to ICU. The useless nurses in I.C.U. didnt even offer him water to drink or food to eat. HE WAS STARVING then we got there. The nurses dont look after their patients in I.C.U., the care there is pathetic! He was admitted for a neck injury, and his normal lying down position is with his neck/ head a little bit elevated due to a previous injury years ago. THEY MADE HIM LIE UNCOMFORTABLY FLAT FOR 2hrs, then when we got there we requested that his head is elevated- ONLY THEN were they concerned about him.

AFTER THIS the nurse rocks up there with insulin to give to my dad, because he is a diabetic. HE IS ON GLYCOPHAGE. Now with Glycophage you CAN NOT take insulin, otherwise you have to be on insulin for the rest of your life. HOW CAN A QUALIFIED NURSE IN I.C.U. BE SO RIDICULOUSLY STUPID?!

Their overall service is appalling. I am so disappointed! this is a private hospital and the staff that we have dealt with are not willing to do their duty/ service that they signed up for? We didnt tell these people to study what they studied- if you are a nurse, you make a promise to serve people, SO DO YOUR JOB AND DO IT PROPERLY.
