Pathetic service from umhlanga hospital
I sustained a workplace injury in May and promptly filed an Injury on Duty (IOD) claim. However, I was not informed that the documentation needed to be submitted within a specific time frame. Unfortunately, my branch administrator was unfami**** with the correct submission process, which led to a delay.
After following up with ER Consulting Management, I was told that the required documents should have been submitted within two days of the incident—information I was never given. Now, I’ve received a bill stating I’ve been handed over for R1300, which is not only unjust but deeply frustrating.
I fail to see why I should be financially penalized due to the negligence and lack of communication from staff who are expected to guide patients through these procedures. This situation is unacceptable, and I believe it warrants immediate review and resolution
