Pathetic accounts department

My husband was admitted to PTA East on 17 December 2015. The hospital demanded a 30% co-payment on admission (which was in line with our scheme rules). However, this was for an overnight stay and they managed to calculate the co-payment amount alone to be R 12 000. The final bill was equal to R 14 000 (including what the medical aid covered).
I have to date not received an account statement and had to phone accounts to find out what is going on, despite being assured multiple times that I would be emailed an account once the medical aid had paid.
Today, after following up out of my own, I found out the hospital owes me R 7 000, which (although the refund has been marked urgent) they have indicated they will try to repay by the end of the month.
That is 3 months of holding on to my money after I was blatantly overcharged, not a cent of interest paid for the cashflow benefit and no sense of urgency to refund me a rather large amount of money. I am appalled by this behaviour. Shame on you Netcare.
