Paid then different R appears on statement

Admitted to maternity ward on 6/2/2015. Husband was asked to pay R5200 on admission to which he paid full amount as requested by Olivedale Clinic. On 26/2/2015 an amount of R6000 was put onto statement and now I am being told to pay the remaining amount.<br> <br> At NO stage were myself or husband advised of this amount of R6000 or else my husband would have just paid the full amount on date of admission. <br> <br> How can a hospital after the fact decide to amend the fee without even so much as a word to the patient.<br> <br> I find this unacceptable and quite frankly bad business practice. <br> <br> An amount was also never paid at the pharmacy and all the hospital had to do was get a letter of motivation from the Dr. Instead they again say NOTHING and put it in a statement. <br> <br> I am horrified at the level of service and explanation of the above.
