Olivedale Netcare- avoid if possible!

Being at Netcare Olivedale was truly a negative experience. 1) The casualty department handed us over without even submitting the account to our medical aid. They didn't contact us once, so we were unaware of the alleged outstanding amount. 2) My mom developed a bed sore, which they hid from me for weeks. When it got so bad that they couldn't deal with it, they had to call in a private wound sister. Now the medical refuses to pay as a Netcare hospital should have a wound sister on staff. 3) In the high care section, my mom was left alone, bound to her bed. She was unable to communicate and extremely confused. The nurse went on lunch and no one else took care of her patients. My mom couldn't eat and had cold, tasteless food. She then BURNED my mom's feet due to her filling surgical gloves with boiling water and putting it straight to the bottom of my mom's feet.

If possible, avoid the hospital!
