not the place to go in case of emergency!

Last night 22 February I went to Pretoria East Hospital just after 21:00 because of really bad chest pains. The woman at reception at emergency told me that the have a waiting period of 2 hours or I should go to another hospital. Without even a quick exam to see if it is something serious NOTHING!!! So someone could be having a heart attack and they will be told by this hospital's staff to wait for 2 hours or go to another hospital. How terrible is that from the place that should help you in an emergency? I then went to Kloof Hospital, they were just as busy but as soon as I mentioned chest pain the took me in for a quick exam to determine the seriousness of the pain and they helped immediately. So the people from the Netcare hospital can most certainly learn from the Mediclinic staff at Kloof on how to prioritise and asses patients coming into the emergency centre.
