No Food for Vegan Patient

Prior to my surgery that was scheduled, due to my dietary requirements, I visited the hospital and also phoned the hospital more than a week in advance to inform them of my dietary requirements. After speaking to the applicable person in the kitchen, I was informed that the kitchen would be able to cater for my vegan diet. The person who I spoke to informed me of a few options that would be available and requested me to speak to the hostess as soon as I arrive in my hospital room upon my admission.

After arriving in my room I requested the hostess to provide me with a menu and I was first brought the normal menu, thereafter a vegetarian menu. I waited for several hours and kept requesting feedback due to my surgery taking place late the afternoon. I wanted to sort it out before coming out of surgery.

By the time I was taken to surgery, I had still not received a menu and I was then told after my surgery that they had no stock of anything for me to eat and was brought food containing dairy. A rude member from the kitchen then came to tell me that there had been no food for me.

I am utterly disgusted by the hospital's disregard for my requirements and values, especially due to the fact that I had provided them the courtesy of informing them of my vegan diet way in advance.
