THE WORST KIND OF SERVICE EVER EXPERIENCED AT A NETCARE HOSPITAL: NETCARE PHOLOSO HOSPITAL

My daughter of 9 months was admitted at the NETCARE PHOLOSO HOSPITAL, Polokwane, last night and only stayed for a night. As it is usually the case, her mother (my partner) was in the hospital with her. In her own words, the level of unprofessionalism and total lack of care by the Nursing Staff at the Pediatric Ward is shocking. Nurses come to wards in pairs, not because they have work to share, but because they are having and obviously enjoying their social conversations that they don't want to put a break on when attending to patients in the wards. And what's worse is that they don't even do so discreetly even in the middle of the night... In the loudest voices possible and waking children up. Furthermore, the nurses demand of the mothers to administer medication themselves (including suppositories), which mothers don't always have experience or s**** to do.

This is appalling, and the sooner it can be addressed the better for everyone. It is very sad though that after one pays premium for a private hospital care this is what one gets. Never again will I allow my family to set their foot at this hospital unless something is done.
