Netcare Olivedale is awful

I arrived at Netcare Olivedale as a transfer from Fourways Life for a procedure that couldn’t be done at Life. My admission paperwork was done hours after I arrived without nursing staff referring to transfer paperwork from Life that contained the required information. Medication wasn’t administered on time. In fact, it was ordered 6 hours after my arrival, only when I requested it. It took a further 2-4 hours to arrive from the the pharmacy while I writhed in pain with only paracetamol for relief. It was a harrowing night at Netcare, far far worse than one might imagine an emergency room might feel. And worse still, after only a few hours of sleep, day-time nurses woke the ward to loud chatter and laughter about their holiday plans. I cannot express my disappointment enough, especially after having such a positive experience at Life. I will avoid Netcare Hospitals in future at all possible costs.
