Netcare N17 Money Seekers

So I had an emergency on Tuesday 10/10/2017 Which a Doctor diagnosed an Ectopic Pregnancy on the Monday 09/10. My medical aid covers N17 hospital in Springs but for somehow they wanted to treat me as a private patient and I had to pay R25000 cash deposit in a emergency to get helped after all my medical aid already approved my authorisation and the authorisation was sent to me via email. I had to go through waiting of 8 hours to get an operation done at a Regional hospital in pain with no pain medication whatsoever. Vommiting because my body went into shock but still I was told they cannot help me because they need authorisation, even the Gynie came pass me when I was sitting in reception and he gave all the correct codes so that my medical aid can approve and still I needed authorisation as stipulated on my medical aid that I do not need any kind of authorisation in case of Emergency. I am still recovering but will be seeing a lawyer Friday morning to discuss the case further. Because it was not Discovery's fault. They are also going to take the matter up with the medical council.
