Netcare is the worst hospital ever.

I would like to state that I chose Netcare Cuyler for the delivery of my baby because I had my appendix removed 3 years ago there and got the best care and really had no complaints.

My eldest was admitted 2 times to the pediatric ward where I had no problems and once to NICU for menningittis also no problems so instead of having my baby at NetCARE greenacres i decided on cuyler since i "knew" was fami**** with the hospital and the staff was amazing.

BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!

I was admitted twice before my baby was born with asthma and cramps , I laid a complaint first time I was admitted with Asthma and tight chest I was told by the nurses everytime my chest felt tight it was a panic attack and they brushed it off I ended up staying 7 days and was spoken to rudely like I was wasting the nurses time. and was re assured that it wont happen again the way I was treated , so I decided to stay with cuyler as my hospital of choice.

I was admitted to Cuyler on the 29th and my baby was delivered on the 2nd of July we left the hospital on the 6th of July ,

Nevermind the rude way I was treated by staff when she was born after the c section she was admitted to NICU her lungs weren't working and she was intubated.

I had severe pain after the c section I dont have a high pain tolerance and the nurses refused to phone my dr.

since \i came out of theatre and I was discharged my pain was never under control not ONCE.

Then was told that my pain is gas and not severe so they not phoning the dr I was crying the whole time of pain.

I also got bladder infection and couldnt pee and the nurses told my I was faking it and I am bothering them they did not know I could hear them.

My baby was in NICU I asked the nurse to take out my catheter and help me to get up after 12 hours I needed to see my baby I asked them to assist me with putting on my slippers after an hour they still diddnt come so I walked to NICU barefoot I was treated better by the NICU staff then my own wards staff.

I just wanted some assistance for getting to my baby and back and nothing I was alone.

Then they decided the DR that baby should board with me for one night they put baby in my room and the the nurses asaid why is my baby in the room I told them the dr said baby should be with me for the night they then said that this was not NICU this is MATERNITY??? what the hell??? where does the other babies sleep that are not in NICE , when my baby started crying they took her from me and back to NICE I started crying and was told to sleep because I am ion pain I asked for pain medication they said no not yet.

I started getting anxious at this point I just had a c section and was being treated vulgarly.

Then the dr discharged me on thursday my baby was still in NICU.

I was discharged with out being examend , I got back to my room to find the docter said I was discharged I didnt know where to go and was told to go to the room infront of the NICU , I phoned the pharmacy which gave me my medication they dropped it off at the nurses station at maternity so when I asked for pain meds the nurse told me I am discharged and cant get any I asked then where my Take home medication is they said they dont know. I foumd it lying in a basket at 6pm when they came to ask me to sign my discharge papers.

So from 10am the morning till 6pm I did not receive any assistance or medication from the nurses and I was still a patient , I moved all my bags and my babies bags from my ward to the room in NICU on my own 3 days after a c section. I fell and hurt myself aswell and was told to go to the ER and phone my dr but I wasnt discharged yet?

I then had to sleep on a broken bed which didnt work i coulkdnt get on the bed without hurting myself.

that night after drinking my pills was the first time since I had the operation I didnt have any pain.

I have never been treated like that in my life.

If you dont want to look after a patient dont be a ****** nurse.!!!!

Now I still get nightmares about waking up in hospital in pain with no assistance I am severely anxious and not coping afraid I need to go back to that awfull hospital.

I want to be compensated for injury while in hospital , emotional stress and pain.

I also want the nurses to be trained properly the maternity nurses are the rudest bombastic staff I have ever came across.

I have severe asthma and am extremely afraid of having to be admitted at a Netcare after my experience.

I have mailed and phoned numerous times still I received no feedback
