NetCare - I would rather go to a state hospital

I had neck surgery on 1 April.<br> A summary.<br> Firstly, my surgeon was excellent.<br> There was underwear in the bathroom - for 4 days.<br> The ward was cleaned once in 4 days.<br> I was left unattended from 10h30 to 19h15.<br> The ward was filthy.<br> During my 4 day stay I heard 2 complaints of theft. <br> I personally witnessed a nurse ***** R200.00<br> This is the short version.<br> I lodged an 11 page complaint to the general manager, human resource manager and the nursing manager.<br> The summary of their alleged investigation is that the fault is because the unit manager was not following protocol and speaking to every patient. If she had, then I would have been able to inform them.<br> They totally ignored the crisp issue - the filth and total failure to practice good hygiene.<br> Regarding the theft, they never even asked me who the nurse was. <br> In other words no investigation took place.<br> This turning a blind eye seems to suggest, to me, that hospital management very well knew about the kidney scandal, but obviously chose to stick their head in the sand.
