netcare have gone to far

Goodday

I have recently been to two different hospitals within Netcare group to visit friends and family who have been admitted.

I am very angry as when you go to reception to find out what ward the patient is in they won't give you the information.

I understand that their is the POPI Act but Netcare have gone to far in not allowing us to visit patients.

Morning Bronwen. I am sorry to hear that you've had a frustrating time in our hospitals. Please understand that our patients' privacy and wellbeing is our priority and as such we cannot divulge any information whatsoever about them to the public. Take care, Lynne.

Unfortunately Lynne, your policies don't make sense.

I dont think I am the only one to complain about this.

Patients look forward to having visitors i am not asking for a medical diagnosis. If I was , I would go and speak to the doctor involved.

Netcare only worries about their own pocket and not the patients well being.

Hi Bronwen. You are most welcome to contact the patient to establish which ward they are in. All the best, Lynne.
