Netcare greenacres hospital.

I am not one to complain usualy, but when it come to the health of family and them not being treated accordingly that can really upset me.

I hope my review along with many others will eventualy open the eyes of "Notcare"

I will try and keep the review simple and down to the point.

My grandmother has been submitted to Netcare greenacres hospital for a review on her cuts she had,for removing some skin cancer. The cuts got infected after she was discharged. When she got to the hospital she had a headached and asked for some headache tablets which she never recieved that night. By the next day when my parents visited she had still not received any tablets for her headache that she had requested for again this morning.

My gran also needs to receive a injection called Clexane everyday at the same time, so every 24hours from the last one and its very important that it gets done just as such. They had not given her injection in the morning which she was supposed to have gotten, and only gave it at night which is 36 hours after the last one. The nurse said she will make sure that she gets the next one at the same time tomorrow indicating that they know very well how important it is that she receives the injection every 24 hours.

Wish this was all i had to say, but sadly my grandfather is also in the same hospital and in a worse condition. My grandfather had been in this hospital for 2 months, where there was issues with bloodflow to the foot. Good news, after 2 months they were happy and discharged him. He is back there today for further issues with the wound and his foot, wont go into too much detail with the issues. But when my parents were there for visiting hours after seeing my Granny for the 1st half of the visiting hours they went past my grandfather to say hello and see how he was doing. He was unable to speak because of all the medication. My mom wanted to put some of the things he requested for in his draws next to him, just to find his pijamas in there reeking of urine. The clothes were just thrown into the draws, not even into a plastic bag. If i were to go into all the other small detail i would be spending 2 hours writing this most likely.

Why did i write this review? Well im really hoping someone who can make a decision sees this and realises that there is NOCARE for patients at netcare greenacres hospital. Action needs to be taken, this is a wealthy hospital treating their patients like *******.
