NetCare Garden City Hospital

Good day, I was referred to the hospital after severe lower abdominal pains by my doctor to the casualty area. I got to the hospital at 17:30, it is now 22:47 and I am still here, still waiting results from bloodwork. I initially waited 2.5 hours in the cold before a nurse could see me. Then after a drip for pin was administered, my blood was taken. I had been waiting for over 2 hours again to find out the blood results, when I stood up to go enquire if they could rather send the results in the morning as I am cold and very tired, they told me “no it’s serious, I might have an infection”. If it’s so serious, why wait two hours to give me the blood results. I ask when it will be ready and I am told it was just collected now now at 22:30 as they had messed it up. I have never experienced such low grade service in my life. It is quite appalling. And to top it all of, after having sat in the cold with my time wasted, I am told that should I choose to no longer withstand the terrible service and go home- I am threatened with papers that I refused hospital treatment. I am honestly so upset. I can’t believe this is how you treat sick and paying patients, with such little contempt for their health and hospital experience.
