Negligence

I am writing this with a broken heart to share my traumatic experience with Dr. L Gciba at N17 Hospital, which I believe led to my child’s 2024 Cerebral Palsy diagnosis. Throughout my 2019 pregnancy, my antenatal care felt negligent; Dr. Gciba only performed scans and failed to conduct basic checks like urine tests, even when a 4D scan showed potential abnormalities. When I was admitted on September 30th, heart monitoring revealed my baby was in distress with a dropping heart rate, yet despite the nurse reportedly informing the doctor via WhatsApp, no immediate action was taken. I was left in the dark as a first-time mother, unaware that my baby was losing oxygen due to the umbilical cord being wrapped around his neck😳😭😭. Dr. Gciba did not perform the C-section until the following morning, missing the window for an emergency intervention that could have prevented my son's brain damage, meconium aspiration, and heart issues. Today, I am struggling with deep depression and anxiety while raising a child with special needs having to pay expensive medications and school fees😡and I strongly advise others to avoid this doctor and the hospital.😭
