My mother just fell, noise level so high no nurse heard plea for help and the bells not working.

We have been with Netcare Moot Hospital for more than 20+ years. I am very very angry as i am typing this message, My mother just contacted me she fell in the bath and when she rang the bell no one came to assist her. She also called out for help (she is across the dutystation, but they are so busy screaming at each other they did not hear her) When she managed to get out, she went to the nurses to tell them what happend. They just said sorry the bells were not working.

This is not the first time this happens. My mother is diabetic and uses insulin she is hypoglycemic and her glucose levels drops like nothing when not well monitored. A previous time she rang the bell to tell the nurse or Sr that her sugar is dropping they just said its almost tea time and left. When visiting hour came i went to visit and found my mother nonresponsive and immediately tested her glucose and it was 1.2mmol. I rang the bell screaming for help no one came, i had to leave my mother and found everyone in the dutystation ignoring the ringing bell still giving over without a care in the world. After that my mother said she is afraid to tell them when her sugar is dropping or need help as they are rude and just tell her that tea is coming soon.

We have been keeping up with this for years but today enough is enough. We are only there because of Dr C Jooste. He is the best dr my mother and our family ever had, he does more nursing and caring plus being the dr than anyone in that building you are calling a hospital are doing.

I want the star i rated to please be taken off as the hospital does not deserve any stars at all. If i could rate minus stars the hospital would have minus 40 stars.

Nursing care minus 10 Food minus 10 Noise level minus 20 The Matron included ( especially the one on duty today 10 May 2020)

I know you will give the covid19 the blame for not following up or for not being able to do anything about the situation but i surely dont expect anything less from you.
