Medical negligence from Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology) at Netcare Krugersdorp

Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology) At Krugersdorp Netcare and her offices have been medically negligent since I was admitted to Netcare Krugersdorp on 02/04/2026 for seizure's I had while at the Constantia children’s ward with my daughter , as she was admitted 01/04/2026 for bronchitis . I was then discharged on 08/04/2026

When Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology) At Krugersdorp Netcare first saw me ( 03/04/2026) she was very dismissive to anything I had to say about my symptoms and very condescending.

I fell asleep at some point after she saw me and when I woke up I had to literally drag myself to the nurses station to ask them to use the phone so I could call my family and ask them to take me to another hospital because I did not want to be treated there . One of the nurses ( I will find out her name and add it) then gave me the phone so I could call my cousin as I did not have my dads current number on file and had my uncle as my second contact . Which by the way the hospital never updated as I was admitted last year for bleeding during my pregnancy and updated my information.

I called my cousin and asked her to call my husband or dad so they could get me to a different hospital . the nurse (whose name I can’t remember) asked me what the matter was and I told her I do not want to speak to her about it because she had been rude to me and I only wanted to have my family come and take me to a different hospital . She then called Dr Comfort Shaba Neurologist and told her that I was refusing treatment and I spoke over her to say I was not refusing treatment and I wanted to be discharged as it was my right to do so and all she had to do was give me my discharge forms and take the steps for me to go to another hospital . Dr Comfort Shaba Neurologist then told the nurse to put it on my file that I was refusing treatment. I then stated that I wanted to be transferred to another hospital but was completely ignored by this nurse .

I asked for the phone again to call my cousin to let her know what was happening and I spoke to her , she then spoke to that same rude nurse who hung the phone up on her and my cousin kept calling back and she just left the phone on the desk after picking up my cousins call

During and after all this I was too weak to walk , to weak to speak and had difficulty breathing but I forced myself to be discharged from the hospital .

During this time there was a nurse who was holding me up and afterwards took me back to my bed as I was extremely exhausted from all of that and was just accepting defeat from the entire interaction

The following day the same nurse was on duty but they were all in some room behind the reception desk to my right and I called out for them and the rude nurse came out , saw that it was me , stood by the door and told the other nurses that it’s the patient that she doesn’t have time for and that they should see what I wanted and she then walked away down the corridor . I then told one of her colleagues that I did not like the attitude of the nurse and she apologised to me

All I wanted was to call my dad to come and take me from that hospital to another one … I eventually spoke to my dad and told him that the nurse was rude and that her and the Dr were saying I was refusing treatment . At this time a few nurses had come out and were by the desk and my father had asked who were the doctors that were attending to me and they all said that they didn’t know , which puzzled my father because how do you not know .

I started crying and struggled to walk back to my bed because again I was defeated .

This whole time I had a catheter that I still needed to hold and balance myself from falling

The reason I kept using their phone was because I had entered the wrong password on my phone a couple of times until it got blocked and when my father came to see me I was still in a state and would forget to mention that my phone was blocked … he then told me that the nurses had said they would give him the Dr’s information, which they still didn’t give him. They only gave me Dr Comfort Shaba Neurologists card after my father had left , which I gave to him the following day

Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology) Then told me I was going to see a OT and a physiothe******. The OT came and saw me for one day and the physiothe****** saw me 2 or 3 times and I was still struggling to walk

I would take time to walk and go to the smoking section just to walk instead of staying in bed the whole day as I had to get myself better because I was not about to have the Dr’s negligence affect me long term.

At some point my catheter had been removed and I messed myself twice , I then asked for another one which they did but throughout the night it was very painful, which I didn’t understand as the previous one didn’t hurt at all

I then asked the following day to have it removed as it was hurting me and I could not sit or walk properly… I was then asked if I had spoken to my Dr about removing it and I said no because I had no way of contacting her

The following day Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology) came to see me and I told her about the pain I was experiencing and I asked her to ask the nurses to please remove it , she asked me if I knew why they put it back and I said yes it’s because I messed myself twice . She then said that if they remove it , it could cause an infection and I told her that the night shift nurse said the same thing but something didn’t feel right in that area

She then dismissed me and told me about the results she had gotten back and that she spoke to my husband about me going to rehab and continuing with an OT and a physiothe******

I then asked her if she could tell me more about the reason she was making that decision and she told me that I already spoke to your husband about it and she dismissed me again . I then brought up the pain I was feeling from the catheter and if there wasn’t something else they could do to assist me or to check what the issue was … she then told me that she will tell the nurses to remove it and then she left me

The nurses then told me that I would be out on diapers and I agreed to that … after the removal of the catheter I was still in pain . I kept telling the nurses about this throughout the day and asked them if they could assist with that and they told me to speak to my Dr … which I did and all she told me was that , she did say I would get an infection by removing the catheter which I then said the pain has been there the day the catheter was inserted again

She ignored me and told me that she needs to speak to my family about certain things , again I asked her what that was and she told me that she will speak to my family first

I then went back to the nurses a few hours later to tell them about my pain and they said that they will assist me , which they never did

I then told my husband about all this and he told them that I could have an infection so they should help me , they said that they would but still didn’t .

I was mistreated by the nurses while I was there and felt alone the whole time

On 08/04/1026 Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology) came to see me and told me that I was being discharged and said that she was going to prescribe me different medication and told me that she was going to add more medication for me to take for my seizures . I then told her that I already have a psychiatrist and I would like to consult with him first as I had been with him for a long time . She then told me that I am refusing to se the psychiatrist that she is suggesting , which I rep**** that I am not refusing but I would like for my psychiatrist to have an evaluation of everything first

She then said I was being discharged already and that she would call my husband . I then asked her about going to rehab which she then responded with she was going to speak to my husband

When my husband came to fetch me he told me that Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology) said I was refusing to see any Dr that she was telling me to see

When my husband came to fetch me , I told him that I was still not okay enough to be discharged and I was in a lot of pain

He then told me that Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology) said I was well enough to go home and he did not want to argue with her since I already was being mistreated by her and he had asked about me going to rehab and my sessions with the OT which she then said I do not need them anymore

When I was done packing my bags I went to the reception desk to ask for my forms and sick note etc and they asked me which Dr was I being treated by and I told them to please look at my file and they said that they couldn’t find anything and didn’t know what Dr I was seen by

I then asked them to give me the documents she had left after discharging me and they said that she discharged me without any paperwork

I then told them that I needed a sick note for work and they told me that they would contact her and she would email me

My husband then asked them to give me a summary of care , which they ended up doing after about 20 minutes of standing there

I was then told to go to the pharmacy to get my medication, at the pharmacy I was told that what I was given was not a prescription

I then contacted Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology) offices to see if they could help me since I did not have Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology) office contact number

The receptionist then said she would contact them and see what the delay was about and she also gave me their number

I called them and mentioned who I was and the receptionist knew who I was and then told me that Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology) had not gotten a chance to go through my file and that she was not around but she will email me tomorrow

Till today 12/04/2026 I have not heard from them and I am in extreme pain , no pharmacy is able to assist because I do not have a script for my antibiotics . At work I have not handed in a sick note because of Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology)

I am having extreme pain and now my sides are cramping … I still have cognitive dissonance and still struggling to walk for long periods

Dr Lamla Nqwata Physician Practice (Pulmonology) 07/04/2026 said I would need to go to rehab and on 08/04/2026 she said I was well enough to go home

Maybe she performed some miracle in my sleep where I healed 24 hours later … I wouldn’t know

I have never received such treatment at Netcare Krugersdorp and this was a shocking and scary experience for me
