Making an unpleasant situation a pleasant one!

<p>I was admitted to the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at the Netcare Waterfall hospital last week. As I’m sure anyone would expect, this was not an experience I was looking forward to. My anxiety about the stay was however soon relieved, as the staff on the Debengeni ward and specifically the EMU were fantastic. They all went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. I was greeted by a lovely and friendly receptionist and taken to a spotless and spacious room. The ward manager, Sharon, immediately greeted me in a high energy manner and introduced me to the ward. Bianca from the offices of Dr Sitharam, then talked me through the process answering all my niggly questions. Your catering and cleaning staff all greeted me friendly and made me feel at home. My last praise has to go to the AMAZING nurses Ghlesi (who has a calming aura around her, and who kept me positive for the first couple of days), Precious (who is such a bubbly addition to the team, who constantly checked to make sure I was ok), Thuli (who was diligent in all her efforts towards me) and my favourite nurse, Ndabi (she is an invaluable addition to your team and deserves praise for her caring nature and efficient nursing s****s). Overall an experience which I was dreading turned into a rather pleasurable one thanks to your amazing team. You should be commended for your ward because it has given your hospital a great reputation as far as I am concerned. Thank you ladies!</p>
