Linmed
I went to Netcare Linmed on the 8th September 18h30 with a broken wrist. My hand was hanging, and I was in excruciating pain. I was sent to triage where they took my blood pressure and they gave me a drip. I waited just under 3 hours for a bed in causality. In that time they took x-rays. At 23h30 I was told that I needed to be admitted, but would need to pay R10000. The nurse on duty was amazing and he found a bed at Bedford gardens. An ambulance collected me at 01h30 on the 9th September and took me to Bedford gardens. In all this time I was holding my arm to try relieve the pain. On arrival at Bedford Gardens I was me by 4 nurses, who I 20 minutes admitted me , fitted an open cast and did the x-rays. I was giving a drip for pain. Linmed have been paid by Discovery for the consultation, but they have handed me over for an open cast they claim they gave me, which they didn't. I have opened a ***** investigation but they refuse to speak to me ot ask the nurse, ambulance driver or Bexford gardens if I had a cast. Discovery has reach out to *** an explanation, bit they refuse to contact us.
