Linksfield Netcare's *********, money making machine.

On 14 September 2022, I was scheduled for surgery at Linksfield Hospital. Although over the years I have found that Netcare's service has been deteriorating at a rapid rate, I found a surgeon who I trusted and thought it would be a small sacrifice. Prior to admission, I received authorization from medical aid and all was approved. However, directly after I woke up from surgery, I was asked to pay an amount to stay in the hospital. The security bought my possessions to the ward where I made the payment before receiving another dose of morphine. I was authorized to stay over 4 nights but I left after 1. When I returned home I noticed that the patient details were not mine and when I queried it I was told to go back to the hospital for them to rectify the statement which I did. But after spending another R500 on Uber just to sort it out (a week after a tendon transplant), I was told that medical aid would need to pay in full before my refund. In the meantime , they deducted the amount from the bill which led to my medical aid reversing the amount I paid. 6 weeks later and I still haven't received any help or assistance. This is just the beginning of my list if complaints. As for my surgeon, he was absolutely amazing but I will never trust that hospital with anything again!
