Is Netcare ParkLane A Public Hospital Now?

Parklane has adopted the public hospital code of conduct. My wife gave birth by c-section there in January 2017 and was in ward 3, where she was given a treatment embarassing to explain for the hospital of its caliber. Being treated by students, there was a time she was bleeding heavy and in pain and they would all try different things and ask each other what to do next without involving a senior nurse or doctor. I was there and it was scary to watch people who had no idea what they where doing dealing with my wife after having an operation. We filed a complaint and the response was (in summary): 1. "For as much as we do trainings to get the best services, it is not up to us to guarantee the outcomes" 2. "People come with their issues from home and take them out of patients and we are not responsible for that" 3. "You need to understand that we have to train students as well"

There was no apology from the hospital or any sign of remorse, except dishing out excuses.
