Is it Netcare or Notcare

After withholding information from me that they have cancelled their contract with my medical aid, then charging just as they please and unnecessarily using up my "out of network" benefits and threatening to hold me hostage until I pay in the difference on the day of my consultation (was also only told after my consultation that they had abruptly cancelled their contract with my medical aid because my medical aid would not just roll over and agree to their greedy demands that were well above industry standards)

Not to mention the incorrectly billed consultation on a prior event, that if credited would have met their demands, that they refuse to credit and suddenly claim no knowledge of

To top it all off, they tell me that if I don't like it then I must just go to a different doctor or dispute it with Netcare head office.

Going to a different doctor means having to go through the trial and error exercise of finding a doctor who is at the same skill level of the doctor we had built a history with, and in doing so gamble with our health and potentially death itself.

Secondly, I now know why they so easily offer the escalation route, because Netcare could be renamed Notcare, More than a month later all I have to show for my escalation is a single automated email telling me that they have received my correspondence and I will be contacted shortly.

And we are expected to trust these people with our lives???
