Insufferable Stay at Netcare Sunninghill Hospital

I had a insufferable week-long stay at Netcare Sunninghill Hospital. Staff take one's meal orders daily but never once bring what one orders. Even after complaining, they cannot seem to get it right. If you are admitted in the afternoon, do not expect a meal from the hospital on that day - especially if you have specific dietary requirements. I suspect that kitchen staff are incentivised to withhold food from the paying patients so as to be able to take "left overs" (that may have been ordered by patients but never leave the kitchen) home each day. The toilets were leaking and the whole bathroom floor was flooded for the duration of my stay (a whole week). Despite my numerous complaints, the bill charged (for inferior services offered) to my medical aid scheme was exorbitant. On weekends the hospital staff are lethargic and do not perform many of their duties, most notably administration of medicine to patients. If you have a choice, opt for home treatment instead with as short a stay as possible at hospital (preferably not this one).
