Extremely Disappointing Service from Medicross Parow - Urgent Prescription Delayed Despite Multiple Follow-Ups
I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Medicross Parow and feel compelled to raise this matter publicly in the hope that it receives the urgent attention it deserves.
I have already paid for consultations, blood tests, and other related medical expenses, yet I am still waiting for a prescription that should have been issued days ago. Despite numerous follow-ups and a clear explanation that I urgently require my medication, the matter remains unresolved.
After repeatedly trying to obtain feedback, I received the following response:
"Dr Valentine sincerely apologizes for the delay in responding. It has been a rough week. He has received your emails and will attend to them as soon as he has an opportunity.
If you receive an SMS confirming an appointment, please disregard it. The request needs to be added to Doctor's diary for administrative purposes.
Thank you for your patience and understanding."
While I appreciate the acknowledgement, this response has not resulted in any action. Since receiving it, I have had no further communication, no feedback from the doctor, and most importantly, no prescription.
I was specifically advised that I would receive an SMS once the request had been added to the doctor's diary for administrative purposes. To date, I have not received any such SMS, which raises concerns as to whether the request was ever added to the diary as indicated.
My reference number is NTC***.
What makes this situation particularly concerning is that I have repeatedly explained that I cannot go through the weekend without my medication. This is not a routine administrative query but a matter that directly affects my health and wellbeing.
I find it unacceptable that, despite completing all required consultations and tests and despite multiple follow-ups, a simple prescription has still not been issued. Patients pay significant amounts for professional medical services and should be able to expect timely communication, efficient administration, and proper follow-through, especially when essential medication is involved.
At this stage, I am simply asking for the prescription that I have been waiting for and for this matter to be resolved without any further delays. I sincerely hope Medicross Parow will address this matter urgently and improve its communication and service standards to prevent other patients from experiencing the same frustration.
