EXTREME NEGLECT!!!
My frail 87 year old mother was admitted on Fri, 15 Jan. I arrived from CT on Sunday, by which time nobody had even washed her! Next time I found her on the toilet, hunched over with her head on her knees, too weak to get up. She'd been there, helpless, for A LONG time after being taken to the toilet and then forgotten. Her sight is too poor to find the emergency button on the wall and she was too weak to call out for help. Food was plonked down on the table where she could not reach. Nobody pushed it closer or lowered it to a comfortable position. Neither was the bed raised for her to sit up, despite her being too frail to raise herself. Soup was covered with cling film, which she could not remove herself. No assistance. Jugs of fresh water were distributed, but always placed out of her reach. She did not have enough strength to lift the jug to pour her own water even if she could reach it. Bell was seldom within her reach. Day after being released, we take her to the cardiologist who tells us she is suffering from severe dehydration! WHERE IS THE \CARE"IN \""NETCARE\""!<br> I bet this will get the same ***ardly \""cut & paste\"" response as all the other complaints here!"""
