Going to the ER at Pretoria East hospital is a total ******* and an example of the exorbitant fees you pay at these institutions. You pay an administration fee of R350. Then you pay for the consultations at the ER. Three visits and consultations with the Drs which amounts to R1629.49. In addition to this you also receive an account from the hospital for R1092. So, you visit the ER and get charged by them as well as the hospital. They are not in the healthcare business but in a money making businesz.
