Dr Mabunda (Anaesthesiologist)

Good day,

I had a planned c section on the 4th of June. The anesthesiologist Dr Mabunda gave my husband a piece of paper to sign while I was already in theatre stating that he charges R7752. He never explained anything about it, he never said he's not contracted to medical aid and we will have to pay from our pocket. He just said he should sign. I feel like he intentionally did that as there was nothing my husband could do about it as I was already in theatre and everything was happening so fast so he takes advantage of that. This behaviour is very disappointing to happen at Parklane hospital. This was my second time using this hospital for birth and the first time was great.

Please look into this. Is this how the hospital operates now, taking advantage of people?
