Dont think you save by going to hospital in emerge

I am absolutely horrified. My daughter had a bad fall on some unlit stairs and decided to save on her medical aid savings by rather going to hospital and not her GP. We were gobsmacked when the hospital bills started to flood in. She was there less than one hour and these were the bills, straight off her savings!!! Hospital R890,00 (all they did was take her vital signs), Hospital GP: R645,70 (what for?????? putting on a bandage) Radiologist R800,00 (justified, he took an X-ray although first of the wrong foot!!!), Hospital Pharmacy (R389) for over counter pain medicine and crutches. The hospital pharmacy crutches were significantly more expensive than at our local pharmacy. If she had gone to her GP it would have cost her R350,00 for the consultation and then the radiologist fee. <br> <br> Do not think that going to hospital means you don't use your savings!! Seeing that I cannot be defamatory, rude, mean, insulting (not sure whether that means I cannot complain) etc. all I can say is dearest hospital were all these costs justified?
