Never in the history of my existence have I ever experienced such disgusting service from a private hospital. You would swear that the nurses at this place are doing you a favour for doing their job. I would imagine that of all the wards, a pediatric ward would be the most efficient of them all given that they deal with children. My child was admitted at Parklane hospital and upon arrival, we were immediately welcomed by a nontokozo. She took the child's temperature, administered some panado for her fever and put her on an oxygen mask to help with her lungs. At this point everything was going well until we were left for 45 minutes in our room when she had to put my daughter on IV. I had to literally go three times to the reception to ask when is she going to attend to my daughter as she had not done everything. She still had to administer an IV. I was calm until my mom asked for some food as my daughter was complaining of hunger ( she's 3 years old). The response we got is what sent me into a frantic mode. We were advised that that they will check "if there's any food left to give to us" however they can't promise anything. How the hell does a ward full of kids doesn't have basic cereal to a point where if you admitted after 7PM, a three year old has to sleep on an empty stomach. Oh but what I found even more disgusting is the attitude that I got from your nurse when I questioned all of this and how it didn't appreciate being left for 45 minutes whilst my child was still not fully attended to. I am not impressed. Why is parklane even considered a private hospital? DISGUSTING!!!!!!
