Disgusted that a patient can be ****** in bed

My mother was booked into Surgical ICU and as she got better was transferred to Cardio Thoracic ward.<br> She due to my father recently passing on does not remove her wedding rings as they have massive sentimental value, has been wearing them for over 40 years.<br> She was given back her cellphone when she went back to the cardio ward so that she could speak to my Sister oversees. She unfortunately had a bad turn and was transferred back to ICU. For over a week as this was going on her rings were on her finger.<br> Then when transferred back to Cardio Thoracic ward in the ward right next to nurses station somebody came into her room and took her rings forcibly off her finger while she slept. The rings had been re sized recently so did not come off easily. I visited her last night and was informed of the issue and some lame excuse of we were trying to contact you was given, in the day and age of cellphones it is amazing I did not even receive one message on my cellphone.To add injury I asked if they could return her cellphone which had been taken away from her when she went back to ICU, and it could not be found, ****** as well. You cant trust your loved ones care to this hospital. Disgusting!!
