Disappointing vaccine experience at Milpark

Had my second COVID-19 vaccination at Milpark yesterday - was extremely disappointed. The parking area used was not suitable - and freezing. The vaccination might protect me from COVID, but pneumonia is likely after spending two hours at Milpark yesterday. How the admin staff manning the desks, are managing, I do not know!

The seating in the "holding cages" at the first stage of the process was not appropriately distanced. Nor were seats sanitised between use. There were few signposts up indicating where the vaccinations were taking place, and no staff outside the building providing directions.

Inside the parking lot used for this purpose, there was insufficient staff to direct and assist people. I saw two elderly people slowly and painfully walking up the ramp - no wheelchairs or assistance was offered. Definitely not okay.

The few staff members who were around were often surly and not at all helpful. In my particular case, I am hard of hearing - when asked to repeat the instructions because i could not hear what was being said, I was treated very disrespectfully and as if I am an idiot. It was unnecessary and inappropriate.

there was no one overseeing the "recovery" - I hate to think what would have happened if anyone had had a reaction to the vaccination.

Having had my first vaccination at Discovery (generally not one of my favourite service providers), I was extremely disappointed by the treatment and set up at Milpark. I recommend that the individuals running the Milpark set up visit Discovery and make a few adjustments. And ensure that anyone told to attend their site is advised to dress extremely warmly.
