Disappointing display of company values

This is one of the worst experiences I have had with this hospital. Firstly, last year I delivered my baby naturally at this Hospital. I was discharged and had to come in 5 days later due to sepsis in my uterus and that ended up in me having a hysterectomy.

Now 18 months down the line when I finally feel like I am starting to cope with the whole situation I get Letter of Demand advising that I will be handed over. Apparently there was a shortfall on the hospital account and they have tried to contact me numerous times but have not heard back from me.

I took the initiative of calling them to get a better understanding and spoke a Modiegi Mabitsela who advised that she does not have information for me and she will refer me to the credit controllers. According to her she is in the legal department and received all names of patients to hand over from credit controllers. I was then referred to Grace Dlamini (credit controller) who confirmed that my account was queried once from the date of service and that was 05-09-2018 she asked for some time to look at my account and understand it. Which to me was an insult as you have to do all proper checks before you hand and account over. She could not explain why I have not been informed or why they have not followed up with the medical aid for now 18 months but are quick to hold me liable.

I am really appalled by their behavior and question their work ethics. This has just brought back many bad memories that I had thought I had forgotten and its all because of lack of competency.

Thanks Nosipho
