Dear Union Clinic

I am actually appalled at what I saw over the weekend at the Union hospital. The nurses were mostly attentive and caring. It was the state of the hospital. My grandmother was at first in the cardiac ICU. Once she had a procedure done they moved her to the cardiac ward. In there the state of the rooms, the beds were shocking. The worst for me was when my poor gran wanted to go to the toilet and upon going down the corridor we find out that is it only one toilet for the whole ward to use??? And it is so so small I couldn't help my gran inside as she needed assistance. It was only a toilet and no wash basin nothing. It was disgusting! The door wouldn't close, it had no lock, the hygiene in there was appalling! I actually think a government hospital would be in better shape. For the amount of money one pays, that is definitely not the level we deserve. And even more when the nurses in ICU asked my gran which hospital she is being transferred from, my gran told them we came from Life Bedford Gardens. They began joking that we come from the rich hospital so we are rich. That is tho most rude and judgmental comment one can make. Union is also a private clinic, just like bedford gardens!
