Dad nearly Died because of dismissed discharge

Good Day,

Please can you assist me. My father was admitted to Linksfield hospital on Monday 30th of June 2020.

He was discharged on Monday July 13th 2020. He was still covid positive, extremely sick, not given a single discharge medicine (and he needed 8!) and the drip was still left in his arm.

He then was so sick by Wednesday got delirious and took a serious fall where he broke his hip. He was petrified to go back to the Linksfield hospital. His nurses dismissed him, he was asked to shower, although could not stand, asked to dry his body with bed sheets as the hospital ran out of towels and served food extremely cold (terrible for Covid patients). When I phoned his doctor to ask how he was allowed to be discharged on Monday, I was told, "there was nothing more we could do for him" .

We instead got an ambulance to take him to BusaMed Private hospital. Here he was immediately admitted to the COVID ICU. Underwent emergency hip replacement and given a treatment for his severe psoriasis. The nurses, doctors (Dr Mehter & Dr Obido ) , his Anesthesiologist and the entire team saved his llife.

I believe this could have been avoided had he been treated better at Linksfield, and had proper treatment been undertaken to try cure his diagnosis in the first place. Had he been given his meds he may not have been delirious and taken a fall that led to a broken hip.

I need this information to be known as this is extremely important. My father nearly died, has now got a hip replacement and I believe Linksfield "GAVE UP" on him before even trying to help him.

Please respond as this is serious and I believe we have a valid complaint.
