Concerned family member

Netcare Garden City Hospital without any prior notification, cancelled all visiting hours in all wards16h00-18h00 only, no visitors allowed in the morning either. Visitors are further restricted to one visitor per patient. Netcare allege this arrangement is in order to contain the spread of the Novel Coronavirus. This arrangement was done without any consideration on the negative implications and inconvenience on patients and families. There is other measures that can be taken for a virus epidemic instead of changing visiting hours. You are taking away patients rights to receive visitors. Why is the visiting hours different at different Netcare hospitals and how was this decision being reached. Even when trying to make a special arrangement I was turned away and family being threatened to be removed by security from the building. Total unacceptable and unprofessional the way this is being handled!!!
