Change of mind after quote given

<p>I'm posting this on behalf of my mother, Maria du Toit:</p> <p>During May 2015 the Surgeon, dr Wian Visagie, decided to do a hemoroid operation on me. Due to the fact that I don't have a medical aid, I had to pay the Surgeon (R7540), the anaesth (R2500) and the hospital beforehand. I went to the Olivedale Netcare hospital to get a quote for the hospital stay. I spoke to Samiksha at reception which phoned Nthabiseng for the quote. She wrote the amount of R10 415.70 on a piece of paper as the hospitals quote. This amount I paid in full on 28/05/2015. I send copies of the quote as well as the bank payment/deposit done to fax no *** to Dominique Rodgers who asked me for the proof of payment as well as the quote. About a month after the operation, I received an account from the hospital for the amount of R980.33, which I queried and refused to pay, because I got a quote beforehand, the hospital gave me the quote which I paid it full. When I went through their Tax Invoice, I for example noticed that there were 2 enema's on the invoice - and I never even got one enema, so I questioned the correctness of the invoice. Now I have been handed over due to the fact that I refuse to pay this difference. I did my part to get a quote from the hospital, which I paid in full beforehand. I ask that the hospital rectify this fault and clean my account.</p> <p>MMP du Toit<br />***</p>
