Cant get feedback on a patient

My dad is in hospital i am in pretoria and can't drive to Jhb every day to see how he is doing. When i phoned yesterday afternoon section 1 they just told me they are not allowed to tell me how he is doing. This morning i phoned the hospital manager and put me through to section 1 and they just say they may only tell one family member which is my brother we are not allowed to know. How must we know what is going on with my dad if nobody wants to tell us what is going on. When my sister came there this morning to visit they chased her out of the room and said they are busy transporting him. They haven't let any of us know that he is getting transported. if my sister didn't went to visit we wouldn't even know he is getting transported. Vampe just said they did phone my brother on monday to tell him but he doesn't even received the call. How is the service. How can they not tell you how are dad is doing or that they will be transporting him. Why am i not allowed to get the truth about my dad. Why is the medical aid paying you so much if they can't even give you any info.
