Bad service. Don't go there! Netcare Mulbarton.

We just got my mother removed from the facility (Netcare Mulbarton) for the weekend due to really disappointing service!

My mom was admitted into section F of the hospital for depression, this section is meant to be the rehabilitation section however she left feeling worse than she did going in. In just a few days of her being there, the ward sister or whatever in charge (her name is Lynn), was already treating the patients in an unprofessional manner. She went on to tell them that if they are not happy being there, she would be happy to discharge them and that they can go back home. Furthermore, she she shouts at the patients demanding that they do not go near "her couches" with drinks in hand and a bunch of other BS.

My mom was put on a low-fat diet by her Dr. so the meals she ordered were mainly a make up of veggies and fruit & very little to no starch at all, with that being said, these meals were often too small so she would have to order two portions instead of one. This seemed to have brought a lot of confusion to the kitchen staff because on two or more occasions the kitchen staff asked her what she meant by "double portion" or "two portions". This went on for quite some time and in this last week, the staff had been scratching out her orders and sending heaps of starchy food. When my mom spoke out (this is the best part) THE KITCHEN STAFF waltzed into section F and with the permission of the Lynn lady, confronted my mother in front of the medical staff and her fellow patients! Pathetic! The Lynn lady also sided with the kitchen staff, accusing my mother of making these people "overcharge her section". She even suggested that they take my mom to their office to further intimidate and harass her.

My mom called my sister in tears this morning. We had to fetch her and requested to talk to what seemed like the duty manager for the weekend, a sisiter (Emily N.) and a lady who couldn't even apologize properly from the kitchen (Veronica). Also, thanks to Emily, who was very nice & thoughtful, the matter is being escalated and we're going back to discuss it further on Monday.

Netcare and Netcare Mulbarton, the service you have given my mom is appalling. From the very first time my mom was there for a hysterectomy up until today nothing has changed. Some of the nurses are mean and now people from other departments roam the hospital freely to confront patients.

My sister, mother and I are more sad than irate at this point.

Shame!

Went back to the hospital on Monday and today. The people we requested to see were in meetings. Didn't get an SMS and I don't know why I have to go through customer services with reference numbers to get the issue sorted out whereas a request was put in at the hospital to talk to the people in charge of the Kitchen & Section F and whoever can fix this for us. It's an incredibly long process. Mom didn't even get served her breakfast today. This is tiring:(
BTW, the lady's name is Emiline Mnguni and not Emily.
Tl;DR: the situation has not been sorted out.
