Bad Service at Pretoria East Hospital

I was in hospital for an Hysterectomy and was discharged on Saturday the 4th of July. On Monday the 6th the hospital advised me that I have left my cellphone charger at the hospital and informed them that I will collect it on Thursday when I come through for my check up.

I was advised that I need to collect my things at the ward as they can’t bring it through to the front desk. When I arrived at the ward, the security lady told me that I can’t go into the ward and I need to go through the outside door and then go through the ward on the left.

As I walked through to the end of the ward I was approached by a nurse to advise me that I was not aloud in the ward as the ward I was walking through was a covid ward.

I was furious as I just came out of a surgery and security made me walk through a covid ward. I went straight through to the Management office to inform them that this was unacceptable. The lady I spoke to had such an attitude advising me that the ward said patients only and what would I like her to do about it.

Well to be honest perhaps she could apologize and treated the situation better as I was placed in a high risk area after a big operation. Worst hospital ever!!!
