BAD SERVICE

Before yesterday I would have rated Netcare Linksfield as one of the best Hospitals in Johannesburg. I'v been there before (maternity ward) for my Myomectomy and the service was more than 100%. However yesterday was a different story. We've had to rush my sister to an Emergency Unit around 23.00 because she she was in terrible pain. We got there, and someone had taken her blood pressure and Temperature, after that we filled in our personal details and provided the clerk with our Medical aid. After that we were asked to wait for a doctor to become available, not knowing how long it would take, we waited, and waited AND WAITED! During that time, no one came to us to let us know whats going on, when we finally asked someone when we would be able to see the doctor all she could say was that there are too many people with Emergencies and it might be a long while still. And that, patients that are brought by ambulance gets first preference!!!!! WHAAAAAT!!! We immediately left and went to Morningside Mediclinic where we were assisted in no more than 5 minutes tops. I am utterly disappointed by the level of service, and not sure if I would be coming back to Linkfiled!
