bad hygiene

My father in law was admitted to garden city high care unit. When we came to visit the unit was smelling of old wounds and there was no ventilation whatsoever. I had asked the staff nurse looking after our dad to please assist us with our need as my father was so hot. She managed to bring a fan but to our dissapointment the plugs where broken. So struggling through the very uncomfortable temperature we asked to get his pyjamas and we wee informed that it was taken by security. No further attempt was made. This was shocking as the smell came from a medical waste bin that was over full and had flies around it. Such care in a highcare fascility not to mention a hospital is unacceptable and disgusting.
