Avoid Money Hungry Milpark hospital

Took my sister in to the emergency room and was informed that I would need to pay an exorbitant R11,000 upfront. I was informed by the receptionist/cashier that R5,000 is for hospital facilities and R6,000 for the doctors and that I would only need to incur additional expenses for blood tests and Xrays, which I paid separately. My sister was discharged 9 hours later and to my surprise I received a billing statement of R3000+ two days after from Dr Esihle Nomlomo of Netcare diagnostics, for what, I’m not sure. The blood and x-ray results are still not provided 3 days later, yet they are very quick to demand payment The service at the emergency room is excruciatingly slow and you have to keep on asking for an update, otherwise no one cares to provide one. My sister was left alone for hours because all the doctors had to attend to a critical patient when she could’ve been discharged earlier but there was no doctor available to. I should’ve read the reviews before taking her to this hospital cause the service and the facility ( recovery rooms and toilets) do not justify the exorbitant fees charged which all tally up to over R17,000 for just 9 hours!!
