Appalling care at Mulbarton Hospital -30th December 2022
Totally unhappy with a service. My daughter was admitted on 28th December. She went for an operation on the 30th December.
The nurse called me to advise that the Doctor has discharged my daughter. I then asked how possible is that since she just came from the theatre a coupler hours ago. I came to fetch my daughter, while I was fetching her TTO from the chemist and had signed the release forms, I was told the the other doctor has not discharged. The drip was out since she discharged and still in pain. No attendance to her, I had to go twice to ask for medication. While she was in pain.
Came back from an theatre in the morning of the 30th December at around 02h00 am. She was still vomiting all over. The sheets and the pillow were covered in vomit. The linen was not changed since her arrival. Today on 30th I was adjusting my daughters bed only to find out the vomit was placed on the other side and realised the pillow had vomit, when I checked the pillow it still had vomit and they placed a pillow on the dirty pillow filled with vomit.
What makes me sad worse was the fact that my daughter was not bathed, while she was coming from theatre, still in anaesthetic, drowsy and week and could not move her legs. They skipped her. She was not bathed and a patient heard them, when they were saying they skipping her.
The nurse said he was going to put a drip back without a medication just to make it easy for next shift so that they could give her medication via drip but I said she is in pain now. You are the one who removed the drip without checking a file that she is not discharged.
This is totally an *********** hospital. I fearing for my daughters life if I had reported to the same nurses since we were told not bother her because she was going to count drugs. Apparently they hit patients with fists, one nurse said that to a patient. All this happened at Mulbarton Hospital section A.
Never ever going to Mulbarton again, so deeply hurt and disappointed.
Regards
