Akasia Hospital doesnt admit patients who are less than a year on medical aid irrespective of what scheme rules say!

So my child was transferred by the GP to Akasia Hospital on the 12 June 2019 with what we saw as "Flu" symptoms. My child was seen by the doctor and all the tests were done and she ; the doctor decided that my son should be admitted. After a while I was called to the corner to be told that "My medical Aid" has declined admission because we have not been on medical aid. Only to find that this is actually a LIE. They did not even communicate with my medical aid and the medical aid does not have a record of a declined hospital authorisation because we do qualifying for admission, it is Akasia Hospital who saw it fit to chase us away to the Government Hospital at Mid-night. When I call them now they are telling me that they used their discression to decide whether they can admit us or not. So much for a health care facility. I WILL NEVER SET MY FOOT IN THAT HOSPITAL EVER AGAIN!
