A really bad experience at this hospital

On the 14 March 2016, my dad was taken to the said hospital (causality) in an ambulance. The doctor in charge was very rude to the ambulance personnel questioning them as to why did they not call and check on the availability of the casualty before bringing a patient there. I profusely apologised to allow my dad to be treated, as he was a patient there before and I arranged with his doctor to take him into casualty, due to his disability . My dad was taken for several xrays and blood tests but they could not diagnose a problem nor any remedial action was taken. Unfortunately in the early hours of 16 March, 13.40am, my dad passed on. I was called at 13.45am, and notified by a male nurse, without sympathizing was told to make arrangements to have the body removed as they don't have a mortuary. The corpse of my dad was wheeled to another ward, and his belongings were left in a plastic bag on the passage way of the original ward. This was shocking, *********, traumatizing and so disappointing. The admitting doctor was only notified about this the following morning at 7.00am. When I reached there, the nurse told me that they had tried to resuscitate my dad without success, the hospital records did not reflect this, which I assume was amended. The question about calling the family when my dad was critical was also omitted. I complained and received apologies for this behaviour, which to my knowledge is not in keeping with the mission and standards of a Netcare hospital. I subsequently requested a copy of all the hospital records, and was given hospital records excluding the XRays and blood test results which the manager advises that I need to obtain from the relevant service provider, which is unacceptable. All records of a patient is the belonging of patient, in this case would have been the next of kin. Upon calling the service provider I was told that there is a misunderstanding as all hospital records are left in the hospital. This makes one wonder as to what one is trying to hide. Luckily enough, my dad had given me full consent to handle his medical affairs in 2014. I will be looking at the records and verifying doctors claims to date. I have nothing to gain from this but just to ensure that no one else suffers the same trauma that I am going through.
