a Goverment Hospital must be better than this
<p>We recently had the displeasure, off having my wife admitted to Linksfield Hospital for the removal of a Fibroid, which caused excessive bleeding, and as a result Anaemia.</p> <p> </p> <p>The doctor that “kinda” attended to my wife was Dr. Dehinbo.</p> <p> </p> <p>The communication to my wife, as to what was happening was non existing.</p> <p> </p> <p>She was left without food for a period of 17 hours, while waiting for theatre. During this time, nothing, or very little was communicated as to what the procedure was and what was going to happen.</p> <p> </p> <p>The procedure eventually happened. Off course none of what actually happened or what was done, was communicated back to my wife by the doctor. The information she received, she got from the nursing staff, who was understandably reluctant to say much, as it is not their place to discuss the procedure, or what was done.</p> <p> </p> <p>The doctor told my wife that she will be discharged on Thursday at 11H00. I left my work, drove 45 kilometres to go and fetch her, and then waited till 13H00. At this point we left the hospital, without being seen by the doctor. Really? Waited for 2 hours for a doctor that is no show? Have some respect for people.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is really poor and pathetic, and not at all professional, as would be expected by a person that supposedly studied for 7 years, and is charging an inordinate amount for the “service”.</p> <p> </p> <p>As off now, my wife is still bleeding from the womb, we have no information from the doctor, as to how long it will bleed, what the recovery period is and so forth.</p> <p> </p> <p>I tried calling the doctor on the number on the Linksfield website ***, but it “fails”, number probably doesn’t exist.</p> <p> </p> <p>Can somebody from the hospital please contact my wife, or myself , as soon as possible so that we can get some understanding of what was done, what the recovery period is, and so forth.</p> <p> </p> <p>Surprisingly, we were also not given “the service pad”, to record how we experienced the hospital. It doesn’t take a surgeon to figure out that it is only given to patients that are not going to complain.</p> <p> </p> <p>The only person that tried making the stay comfortable or better, was Nurse Foster. Thank you to her.</p> <p> </p> <p>We have used the Linksfield hospital on many occasions, this is the last time, as this surely some sort of malpractice.</p>
