5weeks baby emergency - pay before service

Oct.16 2015 at about 12:30am.My wife and I brought in our 5wks old baby because she was running high fever.1st we were sent to the casualty, luckily we were the only people to be admitted. The nurse filled in the file checking on the baby's vitals and recording them,we were also asked if it will be private or medical aid. We said MA.After that process we were sent to the reception to open the file for the baby. <br> This is where all the troubles started' The receptionist verified that the child was not on medical aid & that we had to pay R2k+.I have indicated to the lady that the baby should be on medical aid and that I knew that the forms were sent to the medical aid, but she wouldn't budge.I paid for the baby to get treatment. The Dr. on duty wanted x-rays and blood samples. we had to pay for the xrays and blood works separately. the baby was stabilised and had to be referred to Clinton Hospital.R35k was needed for that. we stayed overnight in casualty ward.We sorted things with medical aid @10am. @Clinton we learned that there is a 3mnth period that is set aside 4 new borns & we shouldnt have gone thru all that. No1 knew abt this @Union had anything bad happened to my baby.Refund pls
